Research Update No. 11 – March 2022

This CSF Research Update explores localised research efforts, the impact of global crises on Sudan, and key humanitarian challenges affecting aid operations and communities.

  • Humanitarian Situation Overview – Updates on Sudan’s protection risks, food security concerns, and the wider impact of the Ukraine conflict on food availability in East Africa.
  • Eritrean Refugees in Tigray and Sudan – A briefing on the risks of trafficking, armed recruitment, and food blockades affecting Eritrean refugees, with recommendations for better protection and humanitarian response.
  • Girls’ Education in East Africa – An in-depth report on the barriers to girls’ education across East Africa, including social norms, systemic challenges, and policy gaps.
